CommentsLovely. Made my day (which is saying something) Pieter .
CommentsI just discovered your site, and am excited to watch it grow. I am a wildcrafter that has been active for many years, although I am only 30. I learned from some of the best in cluding my great-grandfather who survived until I was 16 and he 90+. I suffer from severe rhuematoid arthritis, and believe that several plants have kept me mobile for 21 years. Lately however, I have had set-backs and am hoping to step-up treatment with some new plants, but am not sure what is next. I have done much research and am willing to help your site anyway I can. Keep up the good work. Gary Conley
CommentsNice to see something rearly constructive on the web keep up the good work, you have already given me hope chris

I have some questions to ask so will mail you shortly. Thank you, Mark.
CommentsHi - just had a look as I'm always interested in finding out more about the natural world. You may already know that "New Riders of the Purple Sage" were named after the Zane Grey novel, "Riders of the Purple Sage." I grew up in a house with hardly any books, but this was one we had. I read it when I was very young, and bits of it have stayed with me ever since. Also "Dave Dawson and the Commandos." Odd books to find in a house bursting at the seams with daughters! Enjoyed your site - will be back again. Carol
CommentsI HAVE HAD KIDNEY STONES FOR 25 YEARS. I WOULD ESTIMATE ABOUT 50 HAVE PASSED IN THAT TIME. I HAVE PASSED AS MANY AS 3 AT A TIME. USUALLY THEY TAKE UP TO A WEEK. CommentsI dreamed the name of the herb I needed, but it was one I didn't know and to my remembrance, had never heard of or read about. I checked the local co-op under the name -- HEARTSEASE -- and didn't find it there. So I looked on-line, found your site, other names the herb is known by and I'll go back to the co-op now to see if I can find the herb under Wild Violet or one of the other names. blessings, d Kate dooley
CommentsI dreamed the name of the herb I need, so I went to the co-op to find it. I didn't find it under the name Heartsease, so I looked it up on-line, found your site and was able to learn other names and the type of plant and also information about why I would have dreamed of this particular plant for my current problem (I have just gotten over the flu, but have a tight chest and also fluid on the ear). Now I can go back to the co-op and look for the herb under other names. Thanks for your help. blessings, d Kate dooley

CommentsHi. It is a while since I came to this site. I enjoy it. Today I came to it to see if I could get some more info on plant chemicals. I am doing a course with the College of Natural Therapy and for instance wanted to find more info than the books i have on Tannins - plant chemicals called that. No criticism of your site though. Very much enjoyed your book recommendations though the temptation to buy another couple of books was too great.I'll direct any complaints from the husband to you.Only joking. Thanks for the site. CommentsExcellent website. Very useful. Curious to know why you state that black cohosh should not be taken where "you or anyone in your family" has a history of breast cancer. The German (conventional as well as alternative) doctors prescribe Remifemin (a German pharmaceutical preparation of black cohosh/cimicifuga racemosa) precisely for such women. Remifemin has been used in Germany for many years wherever severe menopausal problems arise in women with a breast cancer history. Repeated trials have shown that it reduces rather than increases recurrence. HRT is strongly contra-indicated in such cases. [email protected] Back to top Back to top |
